At Grosso Africa, our design philosophy for community projects is simple: Sustainability. We don’t just build structures; we build systems that generate their own future. By creating income-generating streams, we ensure that Hope School never has to rely on outside help again.

The Hope project began more than ten years ago.
The original idea came from my father, who believed that education is the most powerful investment a community can make.
Inspired by this vision, my sister Hawa Abdulle, while living in Germany, began building the foundation for what would become Hope School, with support from members of the Muslim community in Germany.
Over time, the project faced challenges and remained on hold for several years.
Earlier this year, my team and I decided to step in and complete the project so that the original vision could finally become reality.
Through Grosso.Africa, our team worked intensively to stabilize and finalize the school facilities. We supported the project through planning, engineering coordination, and construction management, working long days to bring the project back to life.
Today, the school includes 22 newly completed classrooms, built to strong standards rarely seen in the surrounding area.
The campus now supports both primary and secondary education, creating a learning environment designed for the next generation.

Alongside the school, several community initiatives have been developed to support local opportunity.
A primary and secondary school providing access to quality education for local students.
A community initiative improving access to reliable clean water.
A 5-a-side football field that provides a safe space for youth sports and community activities.
A local bakery that produces fresh bread while creating employment and vocational learning opportunities.
A youth development program focused on skills training and practical education.
Together these initiatives create a small ecosystem built around education, opportunity, and community development.

The past 30 days have been one of the most intensive periods of this journey.
During this time, we worked day and night to:
The goal was not only to finish construction, but to build a foundation that will support the community for many years to come.

Our mission is to empower communities in Somalia through education, clean water, food production, and sustainable opportunities.
Every project is designed to create long-term impact: children learn, families gain access to water, youth and women earn livelihoods, and communities thrive.
Through Grosso.Africa, I will continue developing projects that combine agriculture, education, and community development in Somalia.
Somalia’s future will be built by people who believe in long-term investment, strong communities, and the power of opportunity.
And I am committed to being part of that journey.
